How to Become a ENPC instructor

The course director of a ENPC course that you have taken must recommend you as a potential instructor. You must meet the following criteria to be recommended:

  • A score of at least 90% on a multiple-choice exam.
  • A score of at least 90% of total points in all skill stations.
  • Recommendation of course director and instructors. The course director will check a box, on your record, on the ENA website after you complete class and complete your skills portion with a score of 90% or greater. Once you complete the written test with a score of 90% or greater, the instructor potential will be activated.
  • ENPC 5th edition Providers who were not marked as Instructor Potential (IP) must complete the ENPC 6th edition Provider course before they can take the ENPC 6th edition Instructor course.
  • ENPC 5th edition Providers who were marked as IP must observe a 6th edition Provider course before they can register for the 6th edition Instructor course. Once the IP has observed the course, the Course Director in charge of the course must fill out an audit form an email it back to the ENA so they can award the IP with ENPC 6th edition Provider status. That will allow them to attend the ENPC 6th edition Instructor course. Keep in mind you will still need to pass both the Instructor Course Pre-Test Exam and the Skill Station Pre-Test with a 90% or higher in order to take the Instructor course.

Written exam score must be within 90-days of ENPC Provider Course. If more than 90-days from your last ENPC course, you must complete and pass the written exam with a score of 90% or higher before ENPC instructor course date. Please email info@ResusMed.com to get current written exam loaded to your ENA University profile.

If your written and/or skills testing are below the 90% cutoff point, you are potentially able to be retested to improve score(s).
